Photos!
posted at 3:10 PM

I managed to make it out this morning for some pictures along some of Augusta's prettiest roads.

I saw some beautiful things out there, so I'm glad I can share them.

Lately I have really begun to see my limitations as a photographer. Part of it is the lack of certain options on my camera, but a major issue is that I really have no idea what I'm doing. If I want to get any better, I'm going to have to take classes or something.

That said, I did manage some reasonably nice shots in this batch. I hope you like them.

wow, great shots! very vivid. unfortunately, there are only a few places in my area where i can even try to take pictures like this.

your compositional skills are pretty good, actually. you and i are in the same predicament: no formal photographic education. just keep taking pictures, you'll improve regardless of your approach.

Thanks! :)

Pretty beautiful! I don't know if it's Augusta or the camera or the photographer or all three, but it makes me want to visit there in the spring! I'm jealous!

It's beautiful! I like!

Thank you! :)

You know, I like the way you can see some grass at the bottom of the white flowers. And the third picture is magnificent. It looks like a postcard or something. I like the depth of it, flowers in the foreground, flowers and trees in the background--very rich.

Please feel free to look at the whole gallery...I know that link is kind of subtle in the first paragraph, so maybe people didn't notice it.

Anyway, I put the pictures that stood out to me the most here in the post, but there are more pictures over there, along with my oh-so-witty commentary. (You are free to post comments over there, too!)

Also, you use that tree limb for framing in the right hand corner. You'd get an A++ in the photography class I took at JCHS. I will check out the rest as soon as I can--can't wait!

Well, I know I spent my time enjoying all of your pictures. GA is ahead of us in blooms so this is like a preview for KY.
You do such a nice job!

Thanks, Mom! I'm hoping there will be some blooms in Kentucky when I visit later this week.

Just waiting on the bank card to arrive in the mail...
