Wednesday, November 30, 2005 The anime industry in the US posted at 11:41 AM Fortune has an interesting piece about the growth of the anime industry in the US. I found the depiction of fansubbers hilariously idealistic (there are quite a few who fit that description, but then there are quite a few who really really don't), but ultimately I think the article makes some good points. I hope the author's main message, that those who create/import entertainment should pay attention to their fans, will catch on in the industry. (I previously discussed the US anime industry here.)
