Thursday, January 12, 2006 No snow on Fuji posted at 10:06 PM Despite record snowfall over most of Japan this past month, Mount Fuji remains oddly bare. ...or so claims Reuters! But this Flickr user took this photo of Fuji on January 8. That looks like snow to me! (Note: I would prefer to link to a smugmug photo, because I abhor Flickr, but Flickr's search was faster and easier to use, alas.) Comments LIES I tell you! I was there man! It snowed like crazy. Sure i was in the other side of the country during that photo, but I have a photo from the plane into Tokyo (correction, Chiba since it was Narita Airport) that clearly shows Mt. Fuji with snow. Tons of it. Or Tonnes, since I was in Japan.
